White River Health Family Care, located at 1215 Sidney Street, Suite 300 in Batesville, began offering After Hours care January 3rd. The clinic extended hours Monday through Friday until 11PM. White River Health’s White River Medical Center (WRMC) is finding new ways to ensure the safety of their patients. Telesitter uses video and audio monitoring to provide constant monitoring to patients requiring additional assistance. Many hospitals across the county are adopting this technology and reporting fewer patient falls and higher patient and staff satisfaction.

Dr. John Allgood, Radiation Oncologist at White River Health, has announced his plans for retirement. He is currently in practice at White River Health Cancer Center, previously known as WRMC Cancer Care Center. Dr. Allgood will continue seeing patients until the end of the year. Dr. Stephen Ko, Radiation Oncologist, will begin seeing patients at White River Health Cancer Center at the beginning of 2023.

White River Health recently wrapped up the annual 5K Run/Walk. The event brought 174 registered runners and walkers, 60 virtual participants, and raised over $20,000 to support local schools’ food pantries.

The White River Health Foundation Golf Classic raised more than $107,000 for White River Health Cancer Detection and Treatment Services. On Saturday, September 17, 27 teams competed at The Course at Eagle Mountain. The Golf Classic was sponsored by 44 businesses and individuals.

Fall is returning to Batesville, and with that comes HealthFirst, the annual women’s health event hosted by White River Health (WRH) and First Community Bank (FCB). FCB and WRH have partnered to offer an event focused on women’s health. For the first time since the start of COVID-19, this year’s HealthFirst Women’s Health Event will be indoors. HealthFirst Women’s Health Event will be presented at the Batesville Community Center on Tuesday, October 11th, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. This year’s event theme, “Wild About Your Health,” will be full of jungle-filled fun, taking women on a safari to help navigate the many aspects of their health.

The Stone County Primary Care Clinic, soon to be the White River Health Family Care, is proud to welcome Robin Franke, APRN, FNP-C. Robin is currently seeing patients. As an APRN, Robin will provide primary care, including wellness exams, to patients of all ages. She is focused on providing quality care to residents of Mountain View and surrounding areas, as well as maintaining direct communication with her patients and the healthcare community.
